Next Level Refractories was founded in 2016 by Louis Schwarz, a refractory specialist with more than five decades of international experience.
After spending a lifetime working on industrial installations around the world, Louis moved to Spain with plans to retire. But retirement didn’t last long.
Former clients, colleagues and industry partners continued to seek his expertise for complex refractory projects and critical shutdowns. The demand for experienced specialists remained strong, and it quickly became clear that his knowledge was too valuable to leave behind.
What started as a small consultancy soon evolved into Next Level Refractories — a company built on experience, craftsmanship and a commitment to doing things right.
Today, we support industrial projects worldwide, combining traditional hands-on expertise with the professionalism and flexibility modern industry demands.

For more than 50 years, I have worked in refractory installation and industrial maintenance projects across more than 75 countries worldwide.
Since 1999, I have specialized in autothermal reformers (ATR) and waste heat boiler systems — some of the most technically demanding installations in our industry. These units operate under extreme temperatures, high pressures and aggressive process conditions, where precision is critical and there is no room for error.
Throughout my career, I have learned that successful projects are built on three things: experience, attention to detail, and the right people.
That philosophy remains the foundation of Next Level Refractories today. We continuously invest in training, safety and technical development to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of workmanship on every project.
What makes me most proud is our team. We operate as a family business, and that spirit is reflected in the commitment, professionalism and craftsmanship we bring to every installation, anywhere in the world.
